Mobile phone packaging boxes are intricately designed, consisting of two parts: a top lid and a bottom base. Each part requires inspection of ten surfaces, one edge, and one corner. There are approximately 37 types of appearance defects, some of which are common across surfaces, while others are specific to certain surfaces or edges.
The top lid is further categorized into five distinct color schemes based on the paper color, creating significant imaging variations that make defect detection challenging with traditional algorithms. Due to the large number of defect types and complex inspection standards, quality inspection relies heavily on skilled personnel. However, manual inspections are inefficient and negatively impact production capacity.
